MUSEUM WINDOW
The NI Museum „Nikola Nezlobinski” in Struga is among the oldest museum institutions in Macedonia . The activities of this institution in Struga had started with the setting of the first zoological collection in 1982. Today, the work of the Museum is developing through the Department for Biology, the Department for Archaeology and Fine Arts, the Department for History and Ethnology and the conservation laboratory. In the framework of the Museum is also the Gallery of Vangel Kodjoman with permanent collection of 35 of his works and works by Dimitar Pandilov. The Department for Ethnology, traditionally, is organizing the annual exhibition “Revue of folk costumes”. Also, the Museum has a big collection of floor mosaics that originate from several Early Christian basilicas from the area of Struga. In the past couple of years the Museum had performed underwater archaeological excavations at the site “Vrbnik”, during which were found valuable objects from the X to VI century BC.
