ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH

In the period between 12.02 to 10.03.2007, the NI Institute for Protection of the Cultural Monuments and Museum Bitola will be performing archaeological research at the sites „Evrejski Grobista” and „Gorno Maalo” in Bitola . The research is undertaken on the basis of the given conditions for building of antenna mast of AD Kosmofon. The research will be led by Gordana Filipovska Lazarevska, archaeologist, custodian-advisor and Marija Vasileva, archaeologist, senior custodian.

NI Museum of the City of Skopje in the period between 14.03 to 31.08.2007 will be performing systematic archaeological research at the site “Kale”, Skopje in several sectors besides the interior rampart, in order to evaluate the general stratigraphy and receiving data for further public presentation.

The project is financially covered with funds from the Government of Republic of Macedonia under coordinative authority of the Cultural Heritage Protection Office. The research works will be led by Prof. Dr. Dragi Mitrevski, archaeologist.
