ARCHAELOGICAL RESEARCH

•  The Museum of the City of Skopje in the period between 03.05 and 30.10.2007 will perform systematic research at the site „Skupi” - Town territory in two sectors: Sector I street Kardo and Sector II micro-living constructions west from the thermae . Lence Jovanova, archaeologist, senior custodian and the co-head Marina Onchevska-Todorovska MA, archaeologist, senior custodian, will conduct the research work. The finances for this project are provided in the framework of the Annual program for 2007 of the Ministry of Culture and the Assembly of the City of Skopje .

•  NI Museum –Kumanovo will perform systematic archaeological researches at the site “Tatichev Kamen”, village Kokino, in the period between 09.05 and 30.06.2007. The research works will be ongoing in the sectors „Severna terasa” and „Akropola” under the leadership of Jovica Stankovski, archaeologist, custodian. The finances for this project are provided in accordance with the Annual program for 2007 of the Ministry of Culture.

•  NI Museum of Macedonia, Skopje in the period between 10.05 and 15.07. 2007 will perform systematic archaeological research at the site „Stobi” - the object Roman forum, and namely on the south wall of the object, its western half, and on the eastern part in front of the fortification of the town. The research works will be performed under the leadership of Mila Shurbanoska, archaeologist, custodian-advisor and the co-head Antonio Jakimovski MA, archaeologist. The project is financed by the Italian NGO “CISS”.

•  The Museum of the City of Skopje , Skopje will perform systematic archaeological research at the site „Skupi” – Western necropolis, in the northwest part of the town in the framework of the working quadrants from 10 to 25; from 29 to 32 and from 33 to 36. The works will be performed in the period between 15.05 and 31.10.2007 under the leadership of Lenche Jovanova, archaeologist, senior custodian. The finances for this project are provided in the framework of the Annual program for 2007 of the Ministry of Culture and the Assembly of the City of Skopje .

•  NI Institute for Protection of Cultural Monuments and Museum – Strumica will perform systematic archaeological research at the „Carevi Kuli”, Strumica in the period between 21.05 and 15.10.2007 and namely at the following positions: south and north entrance of the citadel; fortification plateau at the southeast, west and northwest sector; at the tower “Donjon”; on the object „Cisterna” and on the necropolis. The works will be performed under the leadership of Zoran Rujak, archaeologist, custodian and the co-head Vane Sekulov, archaeologist, custodian. The project is financed by the Municipality Strumica will finances received from the grant awarded by the European Agency for Reconstruction.
