NI National Museum Kratovo is founded in 1993, until when it existed only as a museum collection. The Museum is comprised of four departments: archaeological, historical, ethnological and conservation. So far, in the Museum had been realized two permanent settings: setting with 200 ethnological objects, opened in 2004 and the historical setting “Kratovo throughout the centuries”, opened in 2007.
